E- mail: kosullivan@massbiomed.org Kevin O'Sullivan became a member of the Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives team in 1998. Before being named President & CEO in April 2003, he served as MBI's Vice President of Business Development and Operations. Previously he was the Vice President and Director of Marketing at the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce where he developed and implemented a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan for the 4,000-member business organization. He also served as Marketing Director for the City of Worcester where he was charged with the opening of the Worcester Centrum Centre Convention facility. As a member of the Board of Directors of the Worcester Business Development Corporation, he helped to develop the successful Massachusetts Biotechnology Research Park.He is also Chair of the City of Worcester’s License Commission. From 1986 to 1994 he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. While a member, he chaired the Committee on Redistricting, was Vice Chair of Ethics, and sat on the Ways and Means Committee. While in the Legislature he championed the Biomedical industry and was a co sponsor in enacting the Emerging Technology Fund, Investment Tax Credit, and Tax Increment Financing legislation. He was the former Co-Founder and Chair of the Central Mass Legislative Caucus.
E-mail: jcocaine@massbiomed.org Judy Cocaine joined Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives in June of 2001 as Manager of Administration. She is responsible for overseeing the office administration for the organization as well as providing operational support. Judy has over twenty years of experience in the administrative field with previous service at the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Colleges of the Worcester Consortium.
James Duffy brings 25 years of experience in property management both in the public and private sector. He is responsible for the facilities management at all three of MBI’s locations. E-mail: jduffy@massbiomed.org
Nancy Pond joined MBI in June 2009 as its Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper. Nancy is responsible for the day to day accounting operations through financial statement preparation and reporting. Nancy has over 25 years of experience in the corporate accounting field and marketing profession, bringing with her extensive office management and accounting experience in all fields of record keeping. Michele is responsible for managing all aspects of chemical, biological and radiological safety. She serves as the MBI representative to local, state and federal agencies on issues of permitting and compliance and is a resource to tenant companies on issues of training and laboratory safety. Michele has over 20 years experience managing health and safety programs in academic and research environments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
